translation: Aleks Bartosik is an artist from Canada who works figuratively and most often large-scale, combining drawing elements with painting, performance, installation, sculpture, and film/video. She explore the boundaries between the real and the imaginary to investigate our ability and willingness to imagine, pretend, play and dream. Tonight, for FLESH GARDEN, Aleks Bartosik will be doing a drawing performance at the start of the opening exploring this idea along side musicians Los Grumos. Through call and response, together Aleks and Los Grumos will transform the library into another environment. If you are not afraid of the dark, Aleks would like to take you by the hand and lead you into my maze of pictorial creations that will take you to places you never been and show you things you never seen.
